Tattoo Trippers goes on air

Tattoo Trippers was broadcasted on the Dutch channel Veronica TV this past February 16th. Last fall Imago Machina's Irene and Marcio served as their local producers.

The road trip features renowned You Tubers Monica Geuze and Kay Nambiar as they explore the tattoo world in Japan. To their surprise they find out that the famous artist Horiyoshi III is having a life work exhibit. They drop in to meet him,  his son,  and some of their yakuza friends who proudly boast his designs. Inspired by the tattoo scene, Monica then decides to get inked by the emerging artist Micca, disciple of Horiyoshi while Kai settles on a traditional design by Horisei, whose studio is in Yamanashi. On their journey they meet Harajuku fashionistas, have vegan ramen, flaunt beautiful kimonos, enjoy macrobiotic sushi, have a colorful lunch at the Monster Cafe with Halloween inspired monster girls, bathe in onsens and contemplate Mount Fuji.
